Does the razor come with blades?
Starter blades ship in the box, so you can shave the day it arrives. After that, the Baron takes any standard double-edge blade — the kind stocked at drugstores, supermarkets, and barber suppliers, usually about $10 for a pack of 100. Each blade gives several shaves, so blades end up costing a fraction of cartridge refills. We don't sell blade refills ourselves, so add a pack to your order and you're set for months.
Why doesn't this kit include pre-shave oil or balm?
Because you don't need them to start. The razor, brush, and soap are the three tools a wet shave runs on — warm water does the prep, and a good lather protects the skin. Plenty of shavers never add anything else. If you want the full ritual, the Complete Kit adds the pre-shave oil and after-shave balm for $32 more, and you save on the pair the same way.
